| Okay, let's get to the real stuff... You may
have noticed that I'm phasing in a new name for this newsletter - the official e-rag of
HomeBizTools is morphing into... "Straight Talk."
Nothing to worry about though. Same newsletter. No changes in content. The name will
simply help establish an association with my syndicated column of the same name.

Now a note about keeping your computer safe...
First, the email virus dubbed Klez Worm is making the rounds and it's causing lots of
confusion. This worm is particularly virulent and nasty, and has the ability to trick you
better than most.
Which brings us to the topic of spam.
How much email do you receive each day? I get around 500 emails per day, and a good
portion of it is spam. Some of it is really annoying and even obscene. Worse yet, I've
noticed an uptick in the number of infected emails that my anti-virus software snares.
I've found a way to combat the problem with a program called MailWasher.
This little gem lets you preview your email, headers included, without risking a nasty
infection.
If you don't like a message, you can delete it from your server -your email client doesn't
even see it. And those who repeatedly send spam can be placed on a blacklist and their
message bounced back as if your email address does not exist.
